To represent, assist and advise Member on constituency matters.


Duties of role:


  • Part-time manning of TDs constituency office.
  • Escalating constituent queries with the relevant government department/ local authority.
  • Managing and progressing queries through the appropriate channels.
  • Drafting of position papers and press releases.
  • Representing the Member at meetings/events and arranging meetings/events/campaigns as required.
  • Dealing with press queries, social media and public relations.
  • Organising the production and delivery of circulars.
  • Communicating and co-ordinating with political representatives and advisors, Government departments and constituency groups.
  • Analysis of voting patterns.
  • Such other related and appropriate duties as may be assigned by the Member.


Desirable Qualifications/Skills:


  • Third Level qualification in a related discipline, or alternative equivalent experience.
  • Ability to draft briefing memos, papers, etc.
  • Organisational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively.


Desirable Skills:


  • An understanding/knowledge of the Dublin Rathdown constituency.
  • IT skills, including a working knowledge of Mail merge, PowerPoint, MailChimp, Excel, Outlook, etc.
